Editorial Policy of Publishing House "HORS" LLC
regarding the use of artificial intelligence for scientific articles preparation
The editorial board of Publishing House “HORS” LLC supports the provisions of Russian regulatory documents and shares the position of the international publishing community, presented in the following documents: GOST R 71657-2024 “Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Education. Functional subsystem for creation of scientific publications” (posted at Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology website), Declaration of the Council on Ethics of Scientific Publications of the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers (2nd edition), WAME (World Association of Medical Editors) Recommendations "Chatbots, Generative AI, and Scholarly Manuscripts", "Authorship and AI tools" (COPE), and establishes the following regulations:

For authors:
1. Authors must not list Artificial Intelligence-based software and tools (hereinafter AI-based software and tools) as authors or co-authors, nor cite Artificial Intelligence (hereinafter AI) as an author. AI-based software and tools do not meet authorship requirements, as they cannot assume responsibility for the submitted article, declare conflicts of interest, manage the copyright, or approve the final version of the article.
Authors are fully responsible for their article’s content and any breaches of the editorial ethics.

2. The use of AI-based software and tools is permitted for processing research data, and creating graphs and tables. However, in such use, it is required that authors must thoroughly verify the information provided. Should this be the case, authors are obliged to indicate name, software version, and query criteria, as well as describe the methodology of its use in the Methods section (or equivalent) or in any respective place. It is recommended to attach the full text with queries to AI and corresponding responses to the submitted article.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to request additional information on the application of AI-based software and tools.

3. It is prohibited to use AI-based software and tools to generate text, figures, data sets, and list of sources. The exception applies to Articles in which AI serves as an object or a subject of research.

4. The Editorial Board uses the “Antiplagiat” system to detect AI-generated content.

For peer reviewers:
It is not allowed to use AI-based software and tools for compiling reviews.

For editors:
It is not allowed to use AI-based software and tools in the editorial work.
